"The Star 94 FM Recycled Wedding"

By now, you've all heard about Larry the E-Bay Wedding Dress Guy.  Well, Star 94 FM in Atlanta, GA decided to get a hold of that dress, and Larry, and put on a "Recycled Wedding" for William and Diane Abbott, two people who had a quick ceremony in a courthouse years ago, but never had a real wedding ceremony.  Cindy and Ray, the hosts of the show putting on the event were asking their listeners to donate used items for the wedding.  For example, all the gifts were things people had previously received as wedding gifts of their own.

Unable to get through on the phone lines, as I hardly ever am when calling Star 94 to request a song (they're just that popular a station), I e-mailed them, saying that used filmmakers would be the perfect choice to video the wedding, and my partner and I have both had enough bad relationships to be considered quite used. 

Lo and behold, they took us up on the offer and off we went to The Punchline Comedy Club in Atlanta to film the Recycled Wedding.  Larry the E-Bay Wedding Dress Guy was there, as were Cindy and Ray, Austin the show's producer, and of course William and Diane.  It was the single most enjoyable shoot I've ever been on.  Special thanks to Mike Staley and Keo Soulinthong for their excellent videography work. 

The Learning Channel picked up the footage back in May 2004 for their show "Wild Weddings."  Keep an eye out for that.
